Don’t miss a dive due to a scuba gear issue. Regular servicing of your scuba equipment is very important to ensure safe, reliable performance and to ensure your expensive kit has a long life. Diving regulators should be serviced at regular intervals depending on time and the amount of use they have.
In-House Scuba Diving Equipment Servicing & Repair Center
Do you ever wonder why your servicing takes so long to get back from the dive shop – often because it is farmed out to another servicing center to do the work and that’s why it takes ages for your kit to be returned . . . Well not anymore!
Mexico Blue Dream expanded its operation to offer you a far better service, with its own ‘in house’ professional servicing and repair station. Our certified technicians, Matias and Peter, will ensure that your equipment is properly prepared for your underwater adventures before it leaves our servicing center.
Mexico Blue Dream offers a 5-day (or less) turnaround on service of gear from the following manufacturers: Aqualung, Apeks, Cressi, Dive Rite, Mares, Poseidon and Scubapro.
Services available at Mexico Blue Dream
Regulator servicing includes complete disassembly of all stages, followed by degreasing and ultrasonic cleaning of all parts. We then assemble based on manufacturer specifications, replacing warranty parts as needed. The regulator is then placed on our flowbench test station and adjusted to peak performance.
Fast turn-arounds. Just bring your regs for service and we will be able to tell you how quickly we can have them back to you.
- A visual inspection of high pressure cylinders is a vital part adhering to safe diving practices both in and out of the water. Corrosion is by far the single greatest cause of damage to cylinders and our certified technicians go through a rigorous 18 step inspection process to ensure your cylinder is safe to fill and dive on. Cylinders must be visually inspected every year. We include a complimentary valve rebuild and internal inspection.
- Hydrostatic testing essentially determines whether the tank is structurally sound and will not burst under pressure. The most common method is to place the tank into a water-filled pressure chamber and see how much the tank expands under pressure by measuring the amount of water displaced. A hydrostatic test needs to be performed every 5 years.
